OTT releases: Latest web series to watch on Zee5, Voot- The Broken News, Code M, more

OTT releases: In the absence of many big movie releases on OTT platforms this week, web series took the limelight. There were some highly anticipated titles which debuted this week and were well received by both the audience and critics. Zee5 released Sonali Bendre starrer The Broken News which narrates a dark story of the journalism world. On the other end, Voot released two new web series — the second season of Code M and Cyber Vaar. Udan Patolas also released on Amazon Prime Videos this week as a comedy drama which portrays a group of small town women living in metropolitan cities. Check the full list below.

The Broken News on Zee5

The web series marks the OTT debut of Sonali Bendre. The series is based on the British drama Press and it follows the life of journalists in and around the newsroom. Apart from Bendre, the series also stars Jaideep Ahlawat, Shriya Pilgaonkar and Indraneil Sengupta in main roles. The show is available on Zee5 and can be watched in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages.

Udan Patolas on Amazon Prime Videos

This mini web series is just six episodes long and will fit into your weekend binge perfectly. The comedy drama revolves around modern day women who all belong from small towns try to lead their lives in metropolitan cities of India. The show takes the audience through their daily lives, struggles and emotions. The show casts Joanna Robaczewska, Daniel O'Kane, Taniya Kalra, Apoorva Arora, Sukhmani Sadana and others.

Code M on Voot

The second season of Code M picks up right where it left off and takes you to Major Monica Mehra, who is looking for a dangerous assassin who attempted to murder the Chief Minister inside an army camp. In this thrill-filled series, watch Jennifer Winget, Tanuj Virwani, Aalekh Kapoor, Rajat Kapoor and others keep you hooked to your seat.

Cyber Vaar on Voot

The show has been in news for bringing together the pair of Mohit Malik and Sanaya Irani. The series touches the issue of rising cybercrime and showcases its aftereffects on the common man. The show keeps you glued to the seat with its twists and turns and never ending chase for the criminals who are really smart.

Innale Vare on SonyLiv

This is the only non-web series entry in the list and we believe you should be watching it regardless as this Malayalam language thriller featuring Antony Varghese, Nimisha Sajayan, Asif Ali and others portray a story of destiny and desperation as three professionals cross each others path and one must seek the other two in order to save own life.
