Amazfit Band 5

Looks like Amazfit is all set to launch its Amazfit Band 5 in the market. The device has just been listed on Amazon US e-commerce site head of the official launch. Made by Chinese-based brand Huami, the band has already been spotted in FCC listings. Although there’s no official announcement, the listing does reveal a bunch of features and specs about the wearable.

It is said to have a built-in Alexa voice assistant so you can ask anything, set alarms, get translations and more without taking out your smartphone. It is also expected to feature a blood oxygen saturation monitor so it can measure your blood oxygen saturation and understand your physical state. The listing also mentions a 24x7 heart rate tracker along with a sleep and activity tracker to get accurate information about your health.

And this comes in addition to women’s health tracking system. Here, the Band records and predicts the female menstrual cycle and sends smart notifications reminders. Backing up the smart band is the long lasting battery that is claimed to deliver up to 2 weeks worth of juice.

Talking about wearable bands, Amazon recently entered the fitness wearables market by launching a fitness tracker called Halo. What’s interesting here is that the device doesn’t have a display. It comes with a handwoven band that has the sensors attached to it at the bottom. The sensors look like the Fitbit Inspire sans the display. Amazon Halo has two microphones and it offers a battery life of up to 7 days. For connectivity, it has Bluetooth 5.0.
