Nokia-branded Bluetooth Neckband to launch in India soon, to be Flipkart exclusive

Nokia will soon launch a new Bluetooth Neckband earphone in India, according to sources. The device will be exclusively available on Flipkart, sources added.

Sources further reveal that the Bluetooth Neckband by Nokia will come with Bluetooth 5.1 for connectivity. The device will come equipped with Qualcomm’s aptX HD audio technology for better background noise and sound distortion management. The device will come in at least three colour options, black, blue, and golden.

“The neckband also seems to have a rapid charging feature that allows the device to have 9 hours of playback with a mere 10 mins charge,” sources said.

The audio device will follow the launch of HMD Global’s Nokia Earbuds Lite in India. Priced at ₹3,599, Nokia Earbuds Lite comes in Snow and Charcoal colours. The device features a Nordic design that is housed in a pocket-sized charging case. It comes with universal Bluetooth compatibility.

There are also touch-sensitive controls to access tasks such as play or pause music, control the volume and answer, or reject calls. Other features are IPX7 water resistance, and a 50mAh battery per earbud while the charging case is backed by a 350mAh battery.

Last year, Flipkart had launched Nokia-branded air conditioners in India. The range is available for a starting price of ₹30,999. Flipkart and Nokia’s range of air conditioners come with features such as 6-in-1 filters, intelligent Motion Sensor, and connectivity options that enable users to use their phone as a remote. Other features are filter clean reminder, multiple schedulers, customised user-profiles, and diagnosis.
