Redmi Watch with 7-day battery life, NFC launched

Redmi’s first smartwatch made its debut in China alongside the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 9 5G. The smartwatch has a square dial with all the regular fitness features, and more. Redmi Watch has been made official only in China for now. There’s no word on its global availability yet.

Redmi Watch is priced at CNY 299 ( ₹3,400 approx), and it will go on sale on December 1. The smartwatch is being offered at CNY 269 for a limited time. Though there’s no word on its global launch, Redmi Watch could be offered as the Mi Watch Lite in other markets.

Redmi Watch comes in three colour options of black, white and navy blue. There are different coloured straps to choose from including pink and green. The smartwatch has a 1.4-inch colour HD display with 320 x 320 pixel resolution, and a 2.5D glass layered on top. It is compatible with the Mi Fit app from where you can choose over 120 watch faces.

Redmi Watch offers seven sports modes including running, cycling and indoor swimming. It is also water resistant up to 50 meters. The smartwatch has a heart rate sensor with 24-hour heart monitoring along with a 30-day report of your resting heart rate. It also offers sleep monitoring, breathing exercises, and idle alerts. The smartwatch is equipped with NFC for contactless payments.

Redmi promises a 7-day battery life on typical usage, and 12 days with battery saver mode. It has a 230mAh battery which should take around 2 hours to fully charge.
