Free Fire New Age update is here: Check what's new, how to download

Free Fire New Age update is here: MAC 10 weapon, updates to game modes and more are in store for players. Free Fire Max also gets same update.

Free Fire New Age update is here! This new patch brings a new weapon as well as a couple of new updates to the gameplay modes. Some of the adjustments and modifications have been done to make the gameplay experience more enticing for players. New weapon attachments are also available as part of the New Age update. 

The new update is available on both Android and iOS devices. In order to download the update, you will need to go the Google Play store, or Apple App Store in the case of iPhones. Check for the Garena Free Fire update under the update section. Download the update from here and allow it to install. 

Note that the game will download some additional files after the update gets installed. Also, the same update applied to the Free Fire Max version, hence the experience is likely to remain the same on both.

Free Fire New Age update: What's new?

Here's what's new with the New Age patch on Free Fire and Free Fire Max. Check out the patch notes released by Garena.

Weapons:

New weapon added: New SMG, MAC10

New armor attachments: Vest Enlarger and Helmet Thickener

Battle royale experience:

Some optimizations to the BR mode have been made. Location names will now be displayed on the ground when parachuting in Battle Royale

Free Fire Coins/Tokens: Adjusted the minimum amount of Free Fire Coins to 100

Clash Squad:

Map adjustment: The Academy and Mill zones have been adjusted to increase the balance within these two areas

Items request: Additional item requests can be sent if the previous request is complete

Grenade pickup limited: Players are no longer allowed to carry more utility Grenades into the next round

Gameplay:

Update pin system: The pin marker can now mark all objects, vehicles, and items in the game. Players can double-tap the pin button to alert teammates about enemies nearby

Updated free look: Players can toggle to look around while parachuting and driving in-game

Updated flashbang: Optimised the display of flashed targets

New rank tier available: Players can now get to the Master rank after achieving the Heroic tier in Rank Modes

Free Fire MAX

Craftland:

Mode editor: Players can now customize team size, spawn point, and other options for Clash Squad or Team Deathmatch.

New items: Music Key, Portals

360-degree lobby: Added Skateboard display

Play zone effect visual enhancement: Adjusted the color of the play zone in Battle Royale

Pan animation: Players can strike with both the top and bottom of the pan

Graphics settings: Players can access and enjoy the new graphic settings available in the settings menu
