PUBG Mobile 2 might release next week, but India’s not going to get it
If reports are to be believed, a certain tipster has claimed that PUBG Mobile 2 might release as soon as next week. PUBG Mobile was banned in India in September last year and since then the company has been struggling to get the game back here.
However, in the meanwhile South Korean company Krafton has been developing PUBG Mobile 2. Krafton took over publishing duties of PUBG Mobile in India from China’s Tencent. But then, as far as leaks go, there is no official announcement made yet from the company so we might just have to wait and see if it’s true.
The tipster who goes by the name PlayerIGN (not affiliated to IGN in any way) tweeted that PUBG Mobile 2 might release next week. A deleted Weibo post was cited and the tipster mentioned that the game will be set in 2051 and will have futuristic weapons and gadgets and a new map. Further, it was also added that PUBG Mobile 2 would release on both Android and iOS. The tipster added that Krafton might make an announcement at PUBG Global Invitational.S 2021 tournament next week.

PlayerIGN has shared a report from a Korean publication in January this year that claimed that development of PUBG 2 for PC and consoles and PUBG Mobile 2 had been confirmed.
The mobile game, dubbed Project XTRM, is a sequel to PUBG Mobile, according to the tipster.
Post PUBG Mobile being banned in India, the battle royale was removed from both the App Store and the Google Play Store and while PUBG Mobile India has been in the works for a while now, we have no further details and no release date. Reports have it that the game developers have been trying to secure a meeting with the government but have failed to do so thus far.
The odds are that PUBG Mobile 2 might not launch in India any time soon as well, but at least this gives Indian PUBG Mobile fans some hope. Particularly those who did not like FAU-G.
