South Korean game developer Krafton says it has banned a huge number of accounts on its new PUBG Mobile India game version, which is Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). Krafton says that it has banned 25 lakh accounts of BGMI players in the last month. And what was the reason for wielding the ban axe on BGMI players? PUBG Mobile game developer Krafton said that it removed these accounts over cheating allegations and said that it has cleaned out most of the cheaters in the game.

“Cheaters have no place in BGMI and in order to provide a fair gameplay environment to our players, we've been taking severe measures to remove cheaters from the game," Krafton said in a statement. Previously, at the end of September, PUBG Mobile developer Krafton said that fair gameplay always has been the priority and will always be so.

Krafton has been uncompromising in its approach to ensure a fair playing field for all players and that means disciplining the wrongdoers. This is not the first time that Krafton has removed accounts over cheating allegations. Earlier, Krafton banned about 88,000 accounts in a week in October, and 1,40,000 accounts in September. Now, it says that they had worked on the model that the offenders will be banned for a temporary period, but now Krafton shifted all ban to permanent account removing. “There's no room for a second chance now.”

Recent decisions by Krafton over cheating

- Krafton banned the 25,19,692 BGMI accounts permanently and 7,06,319 accounts temporary

- Krafton laid out strict cheat detection manual verification for those BGMI accounts that are indulging in promoting illegal programs. Also, Krafton is doing its own real time monitoring and if any illegal programmes are found, the developer will impose permanent bans.

- Real time monitoring is also being done of YouTube to detect any channel that promotes illegal programs against the game policy and blocking the channel immediately.

- Recently, Battlegrounds Mobile India has made some changes in the login methods to the game app. The change in login method is only for Android users, while iOS users can login as usual.

- The company confirmed that Facebook login has been disabled for certain type of BGMI users from November 5.

Recently, Krafton launched the new game PUBG: New State in India. It had crossed 1 crore downloads on Google Play store in less than a week. On the other hand, Battlegrounds Mobile India also surpassed the 50 million download mark
