The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) on Monday informed that 21.38 crore PF accounts have been credited with an interest of 8.50 percent for the FY 2020-21. The information was provided by EPFO via its official Twitter account. It can be noted that the retirement body started the process of crediting interest to provident fund accounts earlier in the month of November. While several PF accounts have already received the interest some are yet to receive. The Ministry of Labour and Employment had earlier in the month of March 2021, announced that 8.50 percent annual rate of interest will be credited on Employees Provident Fund accumulations in members' accounts for the financial year 2020-21.

Also, since FY 2014 EPFO has consistently generated returns not less than 8.50 percent. A high EPF interest rate along with compounding, makes a significant difference to gains of subscribers. People who have received the amount can check it by accessing their EPF account. There are a lot of ways using which you can check your PF balance like UMANG App, SMS, missed call and official website of EPFO. If you are not aware of the same, then you can check the steps mentioned below.
