It's true that for every functionality on smartphones, you have an app. And one of them is the screen recording app. While there are loads of them on iOS, many use them without even knowing that the feature is built-in. Yes, your iPhone has a built-in screen recording feature and it is easy to access once you know where to find it. So, below we have mentioned a few steps on where to find this ‘hidden' feature and how to start using it.

Step 1: Open the ‘Settings' app.

Step 2: In the list, find and tap on the ‘Control Centre' option.

Step 3: Under the ‘More Controls' section, search for ‘Screen Recording' menu and tap on the (+) plus icon beside it. This will add the option in the ‘Included Controls' section.

Step 4: Head back to the home screen and scroll from the top right corner to see the Quick Controls.

Step 5: Tap on the box that just has a dot inside a circle. Tapping it will begin the screen recording with a small3-second countdown.

To stop it, you can tap on the time show on the top left corner (which now should be in the red background). Tapping on it will give you the option to cancel it and keep recording or to Stop recording. Once you stop, the recording gets saved as a video in your Photos app. You can edit it from there as usual and share it like any other video.

It is worth adding that the screen recording option, by default, doesn't include audio from the microphone. To enable this, long press on the icon from the Quick Control when you are not recording anything. Tapping will show you the option to enable or disable microphone audio recording.
