Google Pixel 5a on offer with big discount now

The company says that it is offering $65 off on the Google Pixel 5a via the official Google Store for a limited time.

Korean electronics giant LG officially exited the smartphone market earlier this year leaving millions of LG smartphone users across the globe in a state of confusion about the fate of their devices. Now, in a weird twist of events, LG Electronics is offering a special discount to its loyal customers on the purchase of Google Pixel 5a smartphones.

9To5 Google reports that LG has sent an email to some of its former customers informing them about an “exclusive offer for our loyal mobile customers.” The email shared by the company says that it is offering $65 off on the Pixel 5a via Google's official store or the Google Store for a limited time. The email shared by the company clarifies that the offer applies only to users in the US and that it will expire on November 15, 2021.

“Exclusive offer for our loyal mobile customers: Get $65 (INR 4,878 approx.) off Pixel 5a with 5G – redeem your offer below. Terms apply...*This promotional code offer is provided by LG Electronics USA for use on the Google Store only, and is subject to the following terms. Save $65 on Pixel 5a with 5G. Offer ends November 15, 2021 11:59 PM PT while supplies last and subject to availability,” LG wrote in the email sent to its loyal customers.

In the visible part of the email, LG highlights some of the top features of the Google Pixel 5a smartphone that was launched last year. Apart from the camera, LG also talks about the battery life, IP67 water resistant coating and its 5G connectivity.

What is interesting about this offer is that it comes days after Google shared a video listing a total of 113 reasons why smartphone users should opt for its Google Pixel smartphones instead of a device by any other smartphone maker. In its video, Google in addition to sharing reasons that highlight some of best features of Pixel smartphones also takes a dig at LG by giving “Best phone to switch to when the maker of your old phone stops making phone” as one of the reasons why they should opt for a Pixel smartphone over a smartphone by any other company. Neither LG nor Google has commented on the matter yet.
