When you decided to buy a new phone, you check for the presence of all the essentials like latest processor, HD camera, good sound, long-lasting battery…. Wait! You bought a phone with the best battery option, but even then its battery is draining very fast? Well, that happens. Having said that, though, smartphones have come a long way in the last few years in terms of almost everything, including battery life. On top of that new tech has added a few great functionalities like fast charging, improving the turnaround time for users immensely. In fact, you will no longer see people lugging around power banks since their smartphones had a habit of dying on them in the middle of the day. Thankfully, those days are over, but there are certainly some problems that cause phone battery to drain fast even now.

But still, large display size, multiple sensors and higher version of processors take a toll on your phone battery. The permanent solution still seems far. But there are ways through which you can save your battery life and make it better than before. Here are tips and tricks to make most out of your battery.

Here is how to fix phone battery draining fast problem to increase your smartphone battery life

1. Vibration is like a battery eater! Turn it off

Vibration takes more battery power than the ring tone. You may like to keep a mild vibration while typing or while getting notified for a message or call. But it absorbs a good amount of your battery power. Going the other way can boost your smartphone battery life immensely.

2. Black is a battery saver

Surprisingly, Black wallpaper can save your smartphone battery life! If your smartphone has an AMOLED display, then your battery life can be saved by using dark wallpapers. This is due to the fact that the pixels in AMOLED displays only consume battery power to illuminate bright colours and do not require energy to display dark. Simple logic is that less the number of bright colours, less the power consumption.

3. Turn off features when not in use

We know Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-fi, mobile data (and of course hotspot to share your internet) come under important features of a smartphone. But these features drain most of the battery. Do turn it off, when not in use, especially when you are running out of battery. Turning battery save mode and even Airplane mode during low battery power can help you sustain the battery for a long time.

4. Turn off Auto sync

Many apps including Gmail, Twitter, WhatsApp and many more, auto-sync the data to constantly refresh them to offer the latest updates. But remember, more back end work will be going on in your smartphone, more it will take your battery power. You can turn it off, just by simply going to the Settings, Google account and turning off auto-sync for all the apps that you don't need to get information from all the time.

5. Get rid of on-screen widgets

Like to see all the information on your display? Then widgets must be one of your favourite features. But it wreaks havoc on your smartphone battery. You can delete the widgets that are unnecessary to save the battery life of your smartphone.
