Samsung Galaxy Z Flip, Galaxy Fold witness screen damages in cold weather

Although it's difficult to verify if these damages are due to cold weather or not, supporting this claim is the same issue reported on Reddit a little over a month ago.

Looks like some Samsung users are facing issues with their Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Fold screens in extremely cold weather. According to the images shared on some Korean websites by users, the usage of these foldable phones in low temperature seems to be damaging the panels permanently. Although the images don't specifically show the screen with cracks, they do show bright splotches lines and the screens getting dark, indicating a physical damage. 

Although it's difficult to verify if these damages are due to cold weather or not, supporting this claim is the same issue reported on Reddit a little over a month ago. 

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip user faced the same screen crack issue in cold weather. It is being said that screen cracking or being damaged in such conditions is not a surprise. Different layers in the folding screen along with different materials act in a varied way depending on temperature changes.

It's worth mentioning that Motorola, which has launched a couple of foldable Moto Razr phones in the past, last year issued a statement mentioning that the handset should not be stored in temperatures below -4 degrees Fahrenheit. 

These are just a few reports coming from users and doesn't seem widespread right now. Samsung is yet to give any statement on this.
