Xiaomi India hints multiple launches at Spring Summer Flagship Event

Xiaomi India has hinted multiple smartphone launches at the Spring Summer Flagship Event on April 27 in India. Here are all details.

Xiaomi India has been long teasing the Xiaomi 12 Pro for India, confirming a April 27 launch date previously. However, the company has now confirmed hosting a “Xiaomi Spring Summer Flagship” event on April 27, floating a dedicated teaser page for it. While the event teaser does not reveal any specific detail about the upcoming products, it has certainly been confirmed that there are multiple flagship “products” launching on April 27.

“Welcome to #XiaomiNext, the biggest launch event of 2022! Join us as we unveil the most awaited #Xiaomi flagship products of the year. See you all on 27th April 2022 at 12 noon,” says the teaser post from Xiaomi. It is now known as to what products will Xiaomi announce at this event, but it is certain that there will be multiple products launching along with the Xiaomi 12 Pro.

Xiaomi hints multiple launches on April 27

Xiaomi has so far confirmed the Xiaomi 12 Pro flagship for the Indian market. The Xiaomi 12 Pro is currently the topmost flagship it sells across the markets. The phone relies on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, gets three 50MP cameras on the rear, has a 2K OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, and a 120W fast wired charging solution. Xiaomi 12 Pro is expected to compete with the likes of the OnePlus 10 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus, and the iPhone 13.

It remains to be seen what other products will the company announce at this event. Since they have mentioned flagship products, we can expect to see new Xiaomi branded laptops with the latest 12th Gen Intel processors. Or, based on the previous rumours, we may also see the Xiaomi 12X series launching alongside the Xiaomi 12 Pro in India.

The Xiaomi 12X and Xiaomi 12X Pro are expected to replace the ageing Mi 11X and Mi 11X Pro models. Rumours suggest these phones will based on the MediaTek Dimensity 8000 series chips. Currently, the Redmi K50 series devices use these chips and hence, just like last year, the Xiaomi 12X and its Pro variant could be renamed variants of the Redmi K50 series devices in India.

We could also see Xiaomi branded Smart TVs and wearables. The possibilities are endless, considering the vast number of products it has launched across global markets lately.
