Airtel offers 60GB free data to postpaid users; here’s how to claim it
In order to compete with Reliance Jio, rival Airtel has launched a new free data plan, offering up to 60GB free data. Here’s how to avail this offer.
Bharti Airtel on Saturday announced a new free data plan for its postpaid users. Under the new plan, Airtel is giving up to 60GB of free data to postpaid users upon downloading and installing the Airtel TV application on their mobile phone. The company is also offering free Live TV services under this offer.
The latest offer comes shortly after the company announced a Postpaid Promise plan under which users could carry forward their unused data to another month and accumulate up to 200GB.
How to claim 60GB bonus data?
If you are an Airtel user, you need to download or open MyAirtel app. On the home screen, you'll see a banner prompting you to claim free data. Tap on the banner and follow the on-screen instruction. The data can only be availed by downloading and installing the Airtel TV app.
If you have successfully downloaded and installed the app, Airtel will send you a notification through SMS on your registered mobile number. The data will be credited to your account within 24 hours.
What else should you know?
Do note that Airtel is offering "up to" 60GB free data. This essentially means some users may get lesser bonus data. The 60GB data cannot be used in one-go. Airtel is offering 10GB of data for six months.
How different is it from Airtel's Monsoon Offer?
The latest offer by Airtel is very similar to the Monsoon offer, which was launched in June. The major differences between the two offers are validity of the offer and volume of data. Under the Monsoon offer, users got up to 30GB of data for three months.
