Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 31,189
Sony Ericsson Xperia X10's large scratch resistant touchscreen display has a spanking new UI, Mediascape for all multimedia requirements and Internet integration. Timescape is designed to give you updates for all of your online accounts from email to social networking. Running on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1 GHz processor, Android v1.6 is a little underwhelming but thankfully an update will soon follow. The handset's 8 MP camera features Image Stabilisation and Face/ Smile Detection.

Motorola MILESTONE 27,999
The MILESTONE comes off as a beast of a handset in its all-black shell, large screen (with multi-touch) and slide out QWERTY keypad. With its ARM Cortex A8 600 MHz processor and PowerVR SGX530 graphics, its also pretty powerful. This seems to be the only Android handset that features an audio enhancement option in the form of EQ presets as well as Motorola's Crystal Talk technology. The MotoNav mapping application has been included for a good GPS experience.

HTC Legend 25,990
The Legend is HTC's latest Android device to hit India. It runs on a version 2.1 or Éclair and incorporates HTC's very intuitive and feature rich Sense UI.
The device's AMOLED display features multi-touch technology and HTC has taken the trackball and optical navigation system to a new level with their round, touch-sensitive Optical trackpad. Its sliver one piece aluminum casing gives it a classy yet robust feel.

Acer Liquid 24,900
Acer has also entered the Android mobile fray with their cool looking Liquid mobile handset. The Liquid uses an Android v1.6 edition with an Acer-customised UI (v3.0). The handset has included UrFooz, a rather unique social networking feature, that allows you to create an avatar that can be universal to your Facebook and Twitter accounts. It has its own little widget that can be placed on any of the desktops. Their Spinlets application allows you to stream music off the Web from the server so it's a bit like having a radio service without an RJ.

Samsung i5700 Galaxy Spica 14,750
The Spica is Samsung's the second Galaxy series handset in India. It's also one of the cheaper Android-powered handsets out there that offers quite a bit for its price.
Samsung has equipped the handset with its DNSe audio profile to enhance the your audio experience. Its 800 MHz processor is perfect for multitasking. Like the LG GW620, the Spica also supports the DivX format for drag and drop video playback.

LG GW620 15,099
The GW620 is LG's first Android handset to hit India, runs on version 1.5-Cupcake and is among the more affordable Android handsets. Its youthful design is complimented by its slide out QWERTY keypad that's comfortable to use. The device also supports DivX video playback so video conversion to standard mobile formats is negated, to an extent. The handset's 5 MP camera features settings like Face/ Smile detection and LG's Beauty Shot option. A version of the S-Class UI has also been incorporated into the GW620, which can be switched off.
