Bumble witnessed over 540 million messages sent by users in India. Here's what else happened on Bumble this year.
Bumble has shared its top trends and insights of 2020. The pandemic stopped people from meeting in real life but digital communication was constant throughout the year. Bumble too experienced the surge in activity with over 540 million messages sent in India this year.
Working from home became the new normal almost everywhere, and this was also the most popular topic of conversation on Bumble this year. Around 57% of Bumble users discussed working from home in India. Another popular topic was zodiac signs with Leos having the most matches, followed by Scorpia and Libra.

Bumble also highlighted that profiles with more photos have better chances with matches. Among Bumble users, 63% used photos of them in everyday lives while another 62% preferred selfies. According to Bumble, 4 to 6 photos see a 30% increase in the average number of monthly matches as opposed to those who don't. Among the prompts used by Bumble users, “Beach or mountains” was the most popular one. There were more prompts such as “Nightclub or Netflix…”, “We'll get on if…”, and “After work you can find me…”
The most used emoji on Bumble was the red heart while these were used most by women - (😉), (😊), (😎), (😂). Men on Bumble preferred these emojis - 🌈), (😊), (😉), (🤷).
Earlier this year, Bumble launched new dating batches in tune with the pandemic-driven situation. There are three badges for virtual, socially-distanced, and socially-distanced with masks. Bumble said this feature has been used by over 1 million users globally.
