If you're a Game of Thrones fan, this morning must have been dark and full of terrors. Shortly after HBO servers were hacked, an unaired Game of Thrones episode leaked to the internet. Most probably by now, some of your friends on the social media must have gloated about watching the episode 4, titled The Spoils of War.

Now, either you could join these people and watch the episode (don't worry, we won't judge you), or you could simply wait till Monday morning for Hotstar to air it. If you choose the latter, the challenge is that you need to stay away from the spoilers, which can be very very difficult. Fear not loyal soldiers of the Night's Watch, here are a few ways you can stay away from Game of Thrones spoilers on the web.

Browser: There are two highly popular Chrome extensions/plug-ins that are used for blocking the spoilers. You can add the Unspoiler plug-in to your Chrome browser. The plug-in is available for free on Chrome store. The best thing about this plug-in is that you can add multiple shows that you don't want to be ruined. For example, you can add Breaking Bad.

Another popular plug in is Game of Spoiler. It is also available for free on the Chrome store. The plug in gives you the option to hide the spoilers instead of blocking them. You can also specify spoiling phrases.

To download any plug in from the Chrome store, visit https://chrome.google.com/webstore/category/extensions?hl=en-US or click on the Settings button the top right corner > More tools > Extensions > Get more extensions.

Firefox browser users can install the free Procon extension to stay away from the spoilers.

Facebook: One of the ways is to identify pages/people who love to spoil movies and shows for you and unfollow them for a while. Of course, it's time-consuming and most probably will never be foolproof. But, you can make good use of Facebook's unfollow button. Do remember unfollowing people won't mean you're unfriending them, just that they won't appear on your timeline.

Or you could simply download the Social Fixer extension. As the name suggests, the extension allows you to filter out certain phrases, topics and even pages. The extension works with browsers like Firefox, Chrome, Opera and Safari. Once you have installed the extension, a menu badge will appear on the top. Choose "Filters" and select options to block out the topics you don't want to see on your timeline.

Twitter: You can mute certain keywords from the micro-blogging platform. For this go to Settings and Privacy > privacy and safety > choose muted words. Once you've added the "muted words", you will not see them in your notifications or timeline. You can also use third-party clients like TweetDeck to easily block Game of Thrones-related spoilers.

We hope these tips will save you from the Game of Thrones spoilers. If you're looking for ways to survive the White Walkers invasion, visit Dragonstone and mine the Valyrian steel.
