ICICI partners with Google Pay for FASTag payment; Here’s how it works
This partnership will enable Google Pay users to order, track and recharge ICICI Bank FASTag conveniently using the company’s digital payments platform.
ICICI Bank today announced a partnership with Google. As a part of this partnership, ICICI Bank customers will be able to issue FASTag via Google Pay.
This partnership will enable Google Pay users to order, track and recharge ICICI Bank FASTag conveniently using the company's digital payments platform. With this, ICICI Bank became the first bank to collaborate with Google Pay for issuance of FASTag.
“ICICI Bank said that its collaboration with Google Pay will further strengthen digital payments for FASTag. The organisation recently integrated FASTag at Mumbai toll plazas and parking zone at GMR Hyderabad International Airport,” said Sudipta Roy, Head- Unsecured Assets, ICICI Bank.

The association gains prominence during the widespread pandemic as this allows any Google Pay user to order and receive FASTag in a seamless and contact-less manner. With this, ICICI Bank has achieved another feat in the FASTag ecosystem. We believe that this initiative will go a long way in increasing adoption of FASTag for toll payments.”
“With this collaboration, consumers will have an added benefit of being able to recharge their FASTag seamlessly and conveniently via UPI on Google Pay,” Praveena Rai, COO, NPCI said on the occasion.
Here's how you can avail FASTag from Google Pay:
Step 1: Open Google Pay and click on ‘ICICI Bank FASTag' under ‘Businesses'.
Step 2: Click on ‘Buy new FASTag'.
Step 3: Enter your PAN, RC copy, vehicle number and address details.
Step 4: Verify mobile number through OTP.
Step 5: Proceed for payment. Order gets placed once the payment is done.
