Jio discontinues its cheapest ₹98 prepaid plan
The cheapest prepaid plan from Jio now is the ₹ 129 one
Jio has discontinued its cheapest prepaid plan, the ₹98 one. The ₹98 pack was revised last years to offer a higher SMS quota but has now been delisted completely across the country. This makes the ₹129 plan the cheapest one from Jio right now. This ₹129 plan comes with a 28-day validity.
The ₹98 plan offered 2GB of high-speed data, Jio-to-Jio and landline calling benefits. The plan also came with 300 SMS per day. Post the 2GB data usage quota, users on this plan could access data at 64kbps. For non-Jio network calls, users on this plan had to buy an IUC top-up voucher.
The ₹98 plan is no longer visible on the Jio website.
Jio recently launched the ₹999 prepaid plan that offers 3GB of data per day and 84-days of validity. The new plan also has unlimited Jio-to-Jio and landline voice calling benefits, and 3,000 minutes of non-Jio calls. It comes with 100 SMS messages per day.
Jio also has ₹599 and ₹399 plans with the same validity of 84 days - but with 2GB and 1.5GB of daily data, respectively.
The ₹129 plan, that's currently the cheapest prepaid plan Jio has, comes with 28 days of validity, 2GB of total data, unlimited Jio-to-Jio calls, 1,000 mins of non-Jio calls, 300 SMS and complimentary subscription of Jio apps.
