Shardiya Navratri 2021 has begun. However, the celebrations this year aren't happening the same as they used to in the pre-pandemic era. Thankfully, the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board or the SMVDSB has already launched a mobile app for devotees for live darshan of the goddess.

The app is called the Mata VaishnoDevi App and it is available for download on both Google's Play Store and Apple's App Store. It has been developed by the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and it has the familiar Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board logo written in a red ring-like structure with the image of the temple inside that you see on the merchandise purchased from the official stores and on the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board official website.

The Mata VaishnoDevi App weighs 27.6MB on the App Store and it works with iPhones and iPod Touch running on iOS 11.0 or later and iPads running on iPadOS 11.0 or later. As far as Android devices are concerned, the Android version of the Mata VaishnoDevi App weighs 11MB and it is compatible with smartphones running on Android 5.0 or later.

As far as the features and functionalities of the Mata VaishnoDevi App are concerned, it will not only provide live darshan, aarti and online yatra registration to the pilgrims but it will also provide other facilities provided by the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board.

In addition to that, the Mata VaishnoDevi App will enable pilgrims to book Yatra Parchi tickets for the day of their visit, battery cars for pilgrims who can't complete the journey on foot and donations towards various causes undertaken by the Shrine Board. Devotees can also get Pooja Prasad delivered to their addresses. In addition to that, devotees can also view their previous or upcoming bookings anytime.
