Build and features The S1000fd measures 102.5 x 73 x 67.8 mm, making it quite small and portable for a super zoom. It weighs 325 g though, but feels like a heavy little rock thanks to its high mass density. In spite of this, it feels reasonably comfortable. The body is made of tough plastic with a textured rubber grip running across the right side of the camera. The button placement is quite convenient. The camera hosts a 2.7-inch LCD, with all the controls neatly laid out to the right of it. It's very portable but a slightly bigger body would have been more comfortable. The S1000fd supports resolutions up to 10 megapixels (3648 x 2736) and has a 12x optical zoom lens. The camera includes the following modes — Manual, Aperture priority, Shutter Priority, Program, Auto, Natural light, two scene modes, Panorama and video recording. Performance While the macro mode was pretty decent, what really impressed me was the camera's Super Macro setting that lets you focus on objects as close as 2 cm from the lens. The colour reproduction was accurate and the auto white balance was spot on. Beyond 400 ISO though, the image quality began suffering considerably and the 3200 ISO setting was pretty much useless. The image quality also suffered in low light conditions and the camera's interface is cluttered. Verdict The Fujifilm FinePix S1000fd is quite a performer in well-lit conditions but it's not the best option for low light photography. It's decently built and has a somewhat attractive price tag of ₹11,999. It's a good option for those of you who're interested in amateur photography. http://tech2.in.com/go/59952 Specifications Dimensions: 102.5 x 73 x 67.8 mm Weight: 325 gType: Super ZoomConnectivity: USB Storage: xD Picture card: SD/SDHC/MMC Battery type: AA (4) batteries (NiMH recommended) LCD type: 2.7 ", 230,000 pixelsView finder: Electronic Effective pixels: 10 Megapixel ISO sensitivity: Auto, 64, 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600, 3200Optical zoom: 12xDigital zoom: 5.7xShutter speed: 8sec - 1/2000 sec Aperture: F2.8 - F5.0 Format: JPEG White balance: 6 positions, plus manualFlash: Auto, On, Off, Slow sync, Red-eye reduction Sound: Yes Street price: ₹11,999 Catch all the Latest Tech News, Mobile News, Laptop News, Gaming news, Wearables News , How To News, also keep up with us on Whatsapp channel,Twitter, Facebook, Google News, and Instagram.
