OnePlus 6 goes on sale today; here’s everything you should know

The sale for OnePlus 6 in India starts today. The smartphone is available exclusively for Prime members on Amazon India and for all via OnePlus' e-store. At the same time, OnePlus is also hosting pop-up events in eight cities where the smartphone can be purchased.

Starting Tuesday, OnePlus 6 will be available across OnePlus authorised stores and Croma outlets. OnePlus 6 is currently available in two colour options of mirror black and midnight black. The Marvel Avengers OnePlus 6 edition will be available on May 29, and the new silk white colour variant will come later in June.

OnePlus 6 price

OnePlus 6 is available in two storage variants with the base model (6GB+64GB) starting at ₹34,999. The mid variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at RS 39,999. The most expensive of the lot which also comes with the biggest storage of 256GB and 8GB RAM, carries a price tag of ₹39,999.

SBI debit and credit card holders can avail a discount of ₹2,000 on purchasing the OnePlus 6 during the first week of its launch. OnePlus is also offering no cost EMI options for up to three months on popular banks. OnePlus 6 customers can avail Servify accidental damage insurance on the device for a period of 12 months.

Amazon Prime Video users will get gift cards worth ₹250, while discounts up to ₹500 can be availed on Amazon Kindle. OnePlus 6 buyers will also be able to avail benefits up to ₹25,000 on flight and hotel bookings made via ClearTrip.

Idea Cellular has also announced a bunch of offer offers for the new OnePlus flagship phone. The operator is offering ₹ 2,000 cashback as monthly discount of ₹ 100 for 20 billing cycles with 50GB of monthly data. Idea Cellular is also offering free movies, music and games on Digital Idea apps; Device security and other benefits on Nirvana 499 plan for Idea Postpaid customers.

Prepaid users can get up to 370GB additional data on recharge of ₹199 recharge. OnePlus 6 will also get Idea's 4G VoLTE support very soon.

Those who pre-booked the smartphone on Amazon India are entitled to a cashback of ₹1,000 and extended warranty of three months.

OnePlus 6 features a 6.28-inch full HD+ Optic AMOLED display with 19:9 aspect ratio and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 processor. For photography, OnePlus 6 sports a combination of 20-megapixel and 16-megapixel sensors at the rear and a 16-megapixel front camera. The smartphone packs a 3,300mAh battery and runs OxygenOS based Android 8.1 Oreo.
