Oppo on Tuesday said it has extended the repair warranty on all of its products until June 30. The extension applies to products whose warranty has expired during the lockdown period. The scheme covers Oppo's most product categories, including phones and accessories such as chargers, data cable, and earphones.

Oppo added that its service centres will remain closed until the lockdown is in application in different parts of the country. Customers can check the status of the operations in real-time through WhatsApp (+91-9871502777).

The company further said it is providing aftersales customers service support to all users remotely through an AI-based chatbot called “Olie”, which is accessible 24x7. Oppo claims the chatbot can resolve 94.5% of user queries. Users also reach out to customer support through social media.

Xiaomi has also announced extending the warranty during the lockdown. “If the warranty of your Xiaomi devices is expiring in May or June this year, we will extend it by 2 months,” the company said in a tweet.
