Realme X with 48-megapixel camera, notch-less design to launch on May 15, takes on Redmi X
Realme X is coming close to its launch in China. The new Realme smartphone will offer a 48-megapixel camera with Sony IMX586 sensor.
Realme will soon make its debut in China. The company has confirmed it will launch Realme X and Realme X Youth smartphones on May 15.
Realme has been teasing its new smartphone, Realme X revealing some key features. Realme X will come with a notch-less design as shown by the company's CMO Xu Qi Chase on Weibo. Realme X offers a pop-up selfie camera to compensate for the full screen design.
Speaking of camera, Realme X will sport a 48-megapixel camera with Sony IMX586 sensor. The smartphone will also come with 'Nightscape' mode for low-light photography. Ahead of its official launch, Realme X and Realme X Youth appeared on TENAA.
Realme X specifications
According to the TENAA listing, Realme X will feature a 6.5-inch FHD+ AMOLED display. The 48-megapixel rear camera will be accompanied by a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. For selfies, Realme X will come with a 16-megapixel pop-up camera.
In terms of memory, Realme X will be available with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage. On the software front, it will launch with Android Pie out-of-the-box. More features on the Realme X include in-display fingerprint sensor and a 3,680mAh battery.
Realme X Youth specifications
This smartphone is listed as 'Realme X Lite' on TENAA. Realme X Youth is seen with a 6.3-inch FHD+ LCD display, Android Pie, 2.2GHz octa-core processor, and a 3,960mAh battery. The smartphone will come in two variants of 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB. For photography, Realme X comes with dual 16-megapixel and 5-megapixel rear cameras, and a 25-megapixel selfie snapper.
Realme X Youth looks like the Chinese version of Realme 3 Pro launched in India last month. Realme 3 Pro starts at ₹13,999 in India. As for Realme X, the smartphone will be coming to India soon after its China launch according to an India Today report.
