Rumors: First Nokia WP7 phones spotted

The phones were accidentally leaked in Microsoft's Mango app challenge. Under the terms and conditions of the competition, the phones were included on a list of phones you could win if ever you win in the competition. Currently, the names of the phones have been edited to try and hide the mistake.

The first of the Windows smartphones is the Nokia Sea Ray, which was leaked back in August but now we have much more detail about it.

The Sea Ray is thought to have a 3.7 inch ClearBack display, Carl Zeiss 8 mega-pixel camera and a 1.4 Ghz processor. The onboard memory comes in at 16GB and it will run on Windows Phone Mango.

The next mobile the Nokia Sabre seems to be a more affordable device , but it still shares the same 1.4 Ghz processor, 3.7 inch Clearback display and also runs on Windows Phone Mango. The camera is a 5 mega-pixel offering, while the onboard memory comes in at 8GB.

Interchangeable back covers are featured on the Nokia Sabre, which makes us wonder whether its aimed at a slightly younger market than the Sea Ray.

The last new smartphone, the Nokia Ace, seems to be at the top of the Nokia's Windows Phone range. It features a larger 4.3 inch AMOLED screen , 1.4 GHz processor and an 8 mega-pixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics.

The onboard memory of the Ace comes in at 16GB, while in the US it will be Nokia's first smartphone to support 4G wireless technology. Like the other two mobiles it'll also come running on Windows Phone Mango.

Two new smartphones were also mentioned. These are the Samsung Yukon and the Samsung Wenbley. Currently, there is little known about the two phones other than their names. However, since the Mango app challenge will be held in Canada, the Samsung Yukon was named after the famous Yukon River in Canada, and the Samsung Wembley was named after the town of Wembley in Alberta Canada, which is known for its dinosaur museum. The Samsung phones named after local Canadian places suggest that they will take on another moniker when they come to the UK.

Nokia World will be held in London towards the end of October. We're almost a hundred percent certain that we'll hear more about Nokia's and Samsung's new Windows Phone handsets by then. Honestly, we're sick of hearing about Nokia's new Symbian-powered handsets such as the Nokia 701. We'd like to hear more about the Sabre and Searay.
