Apple's first smartwatch is coming to Paris as part of Fashion Week and for one day only will be on display at the Colette concept store.
On Tuesday, Colette's flagship store on Rue Saint-Honoré, Paris will become the location where haute couture and high-tech collide when it becomes the first boutique in the world to host the Apple Watch.
There had been whispers that Apple might bring its smartwatch to a Fashion Week event ahead of its official launch, but until the invites went out on Monday night, it was just speculation.
Billed by both companies on said invite as a 'One day only experience,' the event, timed perfectly to coincide with the annual Ready to Wear fashion shows consuming the French capital, will run from 11 am until 7pm and will be the first time that consumers anywhere in the world will get the opportunity to get up close and personal with the Apple Watch.
Exactly how close remains to be seen, but the boutique has devoted its entire window display to Apple's first smartwatch in a display that's clearly inspired by the device's multiple circle operating system.
The Apple Watch although unveiled on September 9 is not expected to go on sale until February 2015, meaning that for now at least, the only way to see it in the flesh will be to head down to the Colette boutique in Paris.
