Vi announces ₹51, ₹301 prepaid plans with health insurance benefits
Vi has also launched Vi Hospicare, which provides hospitalisation cover to Vi prepaid customers on select recharge plans.
Vodafone Idea on Tuesday announced a partnership with Aditya Birla Health Insurance (ABHI). As a part of this partnership, the company launched Vi Hospicare, which provides hospitalisation cover to Vi prepaid customers on select recharge plans.
The company also announced ₹51 and ₹301 recharge plans that will offer prepaid users the benefits of the company’s Vi Hospicare service.
Vodafone Idea said that the prepaid users who recharge with either one of the two plans will get health benefits worth ₹1,000 per day for a period of 24 hours of hospitalisation and ₹2,000 of cover for ICU expenses for ailments including Covid 19 or any pre-existing disease.
In addition to health benefits, subscribers will also get telecom benefits. The Vi prepaid users who subscribe to the ₹51 plan will get 500 SMSs free for 28 days. On the other hand, customers who subscribe to the ₹301 plan will get unlimited calls along with 1.5 GB data per day, 2GB additional data and 100 SMSs per day for 28 days.
As far as the newly launched service is concerned, it is applicable for subscribers between 18 to 55 years of age for hospitalisation of up to 10 days at a time for up to 30 days in a year. Waiting period for accident cases, two years waiting period for specific ailments and pre-existing conditions with waiting period are not covered under this scheme and the insurance amount is deductible on the first day of hospitalisation.
