Vodafone Idea prepaid plans go expensive from November 25

Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL) has announced a price hike of its tariff plans for prepaid users in India. The new plans will go live starting November 25, 2021, as per the information provided by the company. Vodafone Idea says that the decision has been taken to improve the average revenue per user (ARPU). "The new plans will start the process of ARPU improvement and help address the financial stress faced by the industry. These tariff plans will allow VIL to continue improving India's Fastest Mobile Network, verified by Ookla, the global leader in fixed broadband and mobile network testing applications," the company said in a release.

Recently, telecom major Bharti Airtel also increased the cost of its prepaid plans which will come into effect from November 26, 2021, a day after Vodafone Idea's (Vi) new tariff rates will come into effect. Vi has curated an optimum range prepaid plans for both voice and data. Customers can avail the benefits by selecting the plan best suited to their specific needs. Vodafone Idea revised plans and prices

- The price of the tariffed voice plan has been increased to ₹99 from the current price of ₹79. The validity period of the plan will be of 28 days and will offer benefits like ₹99 worth talktime, 200 MB data and 1paise per second voice tariff.

- ₹149 plan will now cost ₹179 and will come with a validity period of 28 days. The plan will offer benefits like unlimited calling, 300 SMS and 2GB data.

- ₹219 plan will now cost ₹269 and will come with a validity period of 28 days. The plan will offer benefits like unlimited calling, 100 SMS per day and 1GB data daily.

- ₹249 plan will now cost ₹299 and will come with a validity period of 28 days. The plan will offer benefits like unlimited calling, 100 SMS per day and 1.5GB data daily.

- ₹299 plan will now cost ₹359 and will come with a validity period of 28 days. The plan will offer benefits like unlimited calling, 100 SMS per day and 2GB data daily.

- ₹399 plan will now cost ₹479 and will come with a validity period of 56 days. The plan will offer benefits like unlimited calling, 100 SMS per day and 1.5GB data daily.

- ₹449 plan will now cost ₹539 and will come with a validity period of 56 days. The plan will offer benefits like unlimited calling, 100 SMS per day and 2GB data daily.

- ₹379 plan will now cost ₹459 and will come with a validity period of 84 days. The plan will offer benefits like unlimited calling, 1000 SMS and 6GB data.

- ₹599 plan will now cost ₹719 and will come with a validity period of 84 days. The plan will offer benefits like unlimited calling, 100 SMS per day and 1.5GB data daily.

- ₹219 plan will now cost ₹269 and will come with a validity period of 28 days. The plan will offer benefits like unlimited calling, 100 SMS per day and 1GB data daily.

- ₹699 plan will now cost ₹839 and will come with a validity period of 84 days. The plan will offer benefits like unlimited calling, 100 SMS per day and 2GB data daily.
