The heavyweights
The three leaders who are dominating the national political scenario and trending the most on online search are Narendra Modi, Rahul Gandhi and Arvind Kejriwal, according to Google.
The spike in the graph for Rahul Gandhi, on January 28, indicates searches that went up following his interview with a TV news channel.
The heavy-hitters
Sonia Gandhi, Manmohan Singh, Lalu Prasad, Sharad Pawar, LK Advani and Mulayam Singh are the leaders that follow the three heavyweights with highest number of searches on Google in the past three months.
For Kejriwal, Google's search trends point to searches related to his profile - and most of it is driven from outside Delhi.
The young guns
Interestingly Rahul Gandhi remained the top searched among the youth brigade of Indian Politics.
Surprisingly Akhilesh Yadav, found the no.2 place followed by Priyanka Vadra, Sachin Pilot, Jyotiraditya Scindia and Naveen Jindal.
Some of the lesser known youth leaders including Supriya Sule, Priya Dutt, Milind Deora and Dushyant Singh also found their place in top 10 on Google Search.
Chief ministers
In the top five most searched chief ministers, two are women - Jayalalithaa and Mamata Banerjee.
Most searched terms: corruption, Coal Gate, 2G Scam
Among the most searched topics corruption stayed on the top.
Jan Lokpal and issues around it remain the most searched topics based on recent consumer interest. Black money also features prominently in this list.
The Adarsh Housing Society scam continues to dominate search trends where it's been the most searched among scams for the last three months.
2G scam is also high on that list, closely followed by the Coal Gate scam.
The 2002 Gujarat riots followed by the Muzzafarnagar riots in Uttar Pradesh were the other terms that appear prominently on Google search trends.
