Bluetooth SIG, the group tasked with certifying products that use Bluetooth technology, has listed the much-rumored photography-focused smartphone on its website.

The Samsung Galaxy SIV Zoom is yet another iteration of the South Korean company's latest flagship handset. As well as the standard SIV, the SIV Mini and the SIV Active (a ruggedized water and dust resistant version) the Zoom is focused on photography and video (hence the name) and will offer a camera array capable of capturing 16-megapixl images. To make way for the bigger lens and image sensor such a beefy camera demands, the Zoom -- the listing for which was first spotted by Unwired View -- will be based on the Galaxy SIV Mini's chassis, meaning it will be smaller and less powerful than the standard SIV (which is a good call, otherwise early adaptors of the standard phone would be queuing up to demand a refund) and it's a possibility that the SD slot will only support a 32GB rather than 64GB micro SD card for increasing internal storage.

Samsung made headlines earlier this week when it was revealed that the operating system and bundled apps on the SIV take up over 50 percent of an entry-level handset's 16GB of in-built storage, meaning that there is only roughly 8GB of free space for installing other apps (apps cannot be stored to removable memory such as SD cards).

However, if potential owners are going to be focused on photography, using micro SD cards to expand storage for pictures and videos should not be a problem. Installing lots of different photo and video editing apps could be.

The SIV Zoom is expected to be announced officially in June.
