Xiaomi will launch a new smart TV in India. The latest offering is going to be the Mi TV Horizon Edition. Ahead of the official launch, Xiaomi has revealed a few important features of the new smart TV.

According to an official Mi event page, Mi TV Horizon will come with a familiar PatchWall UI which brings access to over 5,000 applications. The smart TV will support a “Quick Wake” feature that is likely to make the TV boot faster. The company has also hinted at superior display experience with “Quintessential Display Tech.”

Separately, some of the key specifications of Mi TV Horizon edition have leaked as well. According to a 91Mobiles report, Mi TV Horizon Edition will launch with a 43-inch full HD LED display. The smart TV will come with Google Assistant support and 20W speakers.

The report claims Mi TV Horizon will run on Android TV 9. It will be powered by a Cortex A53 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of built-in storage. The device will have as many as three HDMI ports, 3.5mm jack, and two USB ports. The 20W speakers onboard will be coupled with DTS-HD technology.

Other leaked features of Mi TV Horizon edition include built-in Chromecast and Data Saver features.

That said, Mi TV Horizon is likely to be a premium offering from Xiaomi. The company has a big catalogue of smart TVs with prices starting at 12,999. Its most expensive smart TV is Mi TV 4X which is priced at 54,99. The company is also amplifying its TV lineup with accessories such as Mi TV stick and Mi TV box streaming devices.
