Android creator, Andy Rubin’s Essential shuts down

The firm, in a blog post stated that it will be ceasing operations since the company didn't have a clear path to deliver the 'Gem' phone, which was announced back in October last year. Rubin founded Essential after leading Google's Android mobile software business for years. He left the firm back in 2014.
