Google re-designs news app to help combat fake news

Google has had some tricks up its sleeve that it showcased at its annual developer conference. The latest of those is to strengthen journalism by fighting fake news and for this Google has a redesign of its news app Google News. CEO Sundar Pichai emphasised the need to support good journalism and said news was foundational to the way democracies work. In the last 15 years, since Google News's inception, a lot of information has flooded the internet, making it difficult to distinguish the real from the fake news.
