Oppo Watch with Wear OS to launch on July 31
Oppo Watch made its debut earlier this year in China but with ColorOS.
Oppo launched its first smartwatch earlier this year that looks exactly like the Apple Watch. The Oppo Watch will launch globally on March 31 but this one will run on Google's Wear OS.
The upcoming Oppo Watch is expected to be the same as the one launched in China. The main difference here would be that instead of ColorOS, the global Oppo Watch will have the Wear OS. Based on a promotional GIF teaser of the new smartwatch shared by Engadget, the Oppo Watch looks much like the Chinese version. There's no confirmation though if there would be different specs as well.
The Oppo Watch features a 1.6-inch AMOLED display with a square-shaped screen much like the Apple Watch. It is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon Wear 2500 chipset paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The Oppo Watch comes with LTE support via an eSIM. It also has support for NFC.
The smartwatch is fuelled by a 430mAh battery with VOOC flash charge. It has health features like heart rate monitoring, different exercise modes, menstrual cycle tracking and sleep monitoring. Oppo Watch is available in 41mm and 46mm sizes. There's a stainless steel edition as well.
The 46mm Oppo Watch is priced at CNY 1,999 ( ₹21,400 approx) and it comes in two colour options of black and rose gold. The smaller 41mm Oppo Watch is priced at CNY 1,499 ( ₹16,100 approx) with colour options of black, white and pink.
Oppo is launching the Reno 4 Pro smartphone in India on July 31. There have been reports on the Oppo Watch launching too but no confirmation from the company yet.
