Battlegrounds Mobile India announces Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2021 tournament with ₹1 crore prize pool

Just a few weeks after officially launching in the country, Battlegrounds Mobile India has announced its first esports tournament here - the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2021. And the timing could not have been better. Battlegrounds Mobile India is currently the most popular game in India with over 16 million daily active users and 34 million registered users. PUBG Mobile fans have been waiting for months for the battle royale to return, and it did as Battlegrounds Mobile India, in a new avatar, and now, there’s a ₹1,00,00,000 ( ₹1 crore) prize pool you can compete for on the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2021. This tournament is going to go on for three months and anyone can participate. But there are some rules. Here’s what you need to know.

Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2021 registration requirements

You need to be a resident of India and have a Battlegrounds Mobile India account that is Platinum and above to be able to register and play the in-game qualifiers.

Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2021 registration dates

Registrations for the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2021 starts on July 19. The whole tournament will take place over five stages spanning three months.

Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2021 tournament format

The Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2021 in-game qualifiers kick off on August 2 and end on August 8. All registered teams will have to take part in this and play 15 games between August 2 and August 8. 

The top 10 games from the 15 played will be evaluated and 1024 teams will be selected. This is going to be followed by online qualifiers that will start on August 17 and go on till September 12. Sixty-four teams will be chosen from this stage.

The online qualifiers lead straight into the quarter-finals that will start on September 16 and go on till September 26. From this, 24 teams are going to qualify to move forward to the semi-finals.

The semi-finals will take place between September 30 and October 3 and 16 teams are going to qualify from these playoffs.

Finally, the 16 selected teams will battle it out in the finals that will begin on October 7 and go on till October 10.

Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2021 prize pool

There is a ₹1,00,00,000 ( ₹1 crore) prize pool for the tournament. The first-place winners will walk away with ₹50,00,000 ( ₹5 lakhs), the second-place winners get ₹250,00,000, and the third-place winners get ₹10,00,000. There is also a prize of ₹3,00,000 for fourth-place winners and ₹2,00,000 for fifth place winners. And that’s not all. There’s a prize for the most valuable player (MVP), lone ranger, rampage peak, redeemer, and most finishes by a squad, etc. You can see all the prize amounts below.

You need to head over to the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2021 website and register there. Like we’ve told you earlier, you need to be a resident of India and you need to have a Battlegrounds Mobile India account that is Platinum or higher.

Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2021 rules

All players who have registered for the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2021 will have to play 15 matches with their registered teams over the tournament. And only the top 10 of the 15 matches are going to be considered for evaluation and be scored accordingly. If there is a tie, parameters like finishes, survival time, accuracy, etc will be considered to evaluate a winner. Top 1024 teams from the in-game qualifiers will move on to the online qualifiers.
