This is based on data from Sensor Tower, the report said. Garena Free Fire witnessed 2.1 million downloads during this period, while Call of Duty Mobile received some 1.15 million downloads. At present, Garena Free Fire is the top free and grossing game on the Play Store.

Shortly after the ban of PUBG Mobile in India, there was speculation that COD Mobile could be banned in India too due to Activision’s partnership with Tencent Games. However, it was reported in August that Activision cut off ties with Tencent following US President Donald Trump’s order.

Another game that joined COD Mobile and Garena Free Fire is Ludo King. During the same period, Ludo King garnered 1.52 million downloads in India. Ludo King had even beated PUBG Mobile during the April-June period this year. It achieved around 48.3 million downloads as opposed to the 30.8 million installs of PUBG Mobile in India.

PUBG Mobile can still be played in India but its server could be blocked very soon.
