Google Calendar makes it very easy for people to remember important events, and other details. All you need to do is simply save the event or program details on the Google Calendar. And now as per a latest update, Google has introduced a new feature for the web version of Google Calendar, called Announce Shortcuts, which will announce event details verbally. The feature has mainly been introduced to help visually impaired people in getting event details more easily.

Informing about the same in a blog post, Google said, "In addition to the improved announcements for braille comments and highlights available in Google Docs on Web, and the recent launch of more control over accessibility preferences, we’re introducing Announce Shortcuts for Calendar event details."

Want to know how the feature works? Check the details below:

In order to listen to the event details users can now type a keyboard shortcut (ALT + number, 1 - 7) that will verbalize the content of an event, such as the title, date and time, guest list, and much more. "These shortcuts greatly improve glanceability because they enable Calendar details to be heard on demand instead of time consuming navigation through information," Google said. Also, there is no admin control for this feature.
