Google Pay transaction failed? Troubleshoot the issue- Know how to

The outbreak of coronavirus pandemic has made people rush to adopt the digital payments option. Now, people are keeping very less cash in their wallets and prefer making payments online but these kinds of issues may trouble you. One can even pay bills and do recharges online at a moment's notice. There are several digital payment apps like Google Pay, among others, which you can use for making financial transactions. But what happens if you get a Google Pay failed transaction message? In case you are facing the issue of failed transactions while making GPay payments then know what you can do about it.

You can face difficulties in making online payments mainly due to bad internet or some app glitches or even mistakes on the part of the ones initiating the payment or the recipients. If you use Google Pay and you are not able to do any transaction then do not panic as you can troubleshoot this issue by following some simple and easy steps. The most basic solutions, as per the information provided by the application, include being able to switch from WiFi to mobile data, or a different internet connection. This should fix the Google Pay failed transaction glitch. The other methods which can be tried are as under:

1. Send a smaller amount of money.

2. Use a different method. For example, if you are using the recent contacts icon on the home screen to send money, try sending the money by tapping “New” and entering phone number or UPI ID.

3. Check if the recipient has linked their Bank Account to Google Pay.

4. Check if you have reached your transaction limit.

Troubleshoot problems while sending or receiving money if the person is nearby:

1. Make sure you both have an internet connection.

2. Bring your phones closer together. Your phone should not be more than a few inches away from the other person’s phone.

3. Remove any cases or covers.

4. Tap Update device calibration and try again.

5. Make sure you are using the right UPI PIN with the right payment account. You can change your UPI PIN any time.

6. Check your payment account information to make sure it is not outdated. If it is, update it.

7. Make sure the person sending the money has enough money in their account to cover the transaction.

8. See if you have reached your transaction limit.

9. If these steps do not work, try to send or receive a payment by QR code or search your contact by name, phone number, account number or UPI ID.
