Google back in April rolled out a bunch of new features, including noise cancellation, for its video calling platform, Google Meet. Now, the company has started rolling out the feature to its users across the globe.

To give you a brief about this feature, Meet’s noise cancellation feature helps users limit interruptions while they are on a call. “To help limit interruptions to your meeting, Meet can now intelligently filter out background distractions—like your dog barking or keystrokes as you take meeting notes,” Google had written in a post announcing this feature.

According to a report by VentureBeat, Google has started rolling out this feature on the web and for G Suite Enterprise and G Suite Enterprise for Education customers. It will be available in Google Meet’s Android and iOS-based apps later.

The report also notes that this feature will be turned on by default. However, users can choose to turn it off in case they want the background noise to come in.

Here’s how Google Meet’s noise cancellation feature can be turned off:

Step 1: Open Google Meet on the web.

Step 2: Click on the three dots on the bottom right corner of the platform.

Step 3: Next, click on the Settings button.

Step 4: Now click on the Audio settings.

Step 5: Next, toggle the Noise Cancellation button off and you are good to go.
