If you own a vehicle, whether it is a two-wheeler or a four-wheeler, you know the importance of the registration certificate or the vehicle registration or RC book. It is important to get your RC in DigiLocker. The RC book certifies that your vehicle is legally registered with the RTO (Regional Transport Office). You always need to carry it in order to prove that you are driving a permitted vehicle and that it belongs to you. And while you can keep the physical copy in the glove box of your car, it will be harder to do so on bikes. Further, sometimes physical copies can get misplaced, putting you in an unpleasant situation. So, it is always a good idea to keep your RC online- saved on smartphone. And with DigiLocker, a govt app, you can easily download your RC online. But for those who have never used DigiLocker, it might be a little difficult to navigate across the platform. But do not worry! Follow these simple steps to save your RC in DigiLocker.

The vehicle registration certificate or RC book is an important document that contains your vehicle registration number, name and address of the owner, date of registration, engine number and more. So, make sure you always carry this crucial document with you whenever you drive your vehicle. DigiLocker makes this process easier as you already carry your smartphone and you can just have a saved copy of your RC book inside of it. Check out how to download your RC in DigiLocker.
