How to avoid overheating issues with a laptop

Step 1:

The expert suggests that you should keep a daily habit to make sure the air vents of your laptop are clear of all impediments. Also, keep it totally out of direct sunlight.

Step 2:

You should not put your laptop on your lap or bed/sofa. Though it may be comfortable to use your laptop this way, but doing so can block the air vents. So, it is suggested to keep your laptop on a flat surface or table while working.

Step 3:

If your laptop does get overheated, you can place a small fan that will blow air on your device to help it cool down.

Step 4:

Moving from a cool area to one where there is intense heat can cause performance issues. Condensation can occur inside your laptop, similar to a plastic bottle of water, the report mentioned. Though it is quite uncommon, but any form of moisture can damage your laptop.

Step 5:

In case a black screen with a large thermometer icon shows up on your screen, then Microsoft suggests that you should turn it off and let it cool down for at least 5-10 minutes, if not more.
