LG, earlier this month, announced that it was shutting down its mobile phone business. While making the announcement the company had also said that it will provide three years of software updates to its smartphone users.

“This promise comes on the heels of the announcement earlier this week that LG will be exiting the mobile business by the end of July. The three OS update guarantee applies to LG premium phones released in 2019 and later (G series, V series, VELVET, Wing) while certain 2020 models such as LG Stylo and K series will receive two OS updates,” the company had said in its announcement.

Now, word is that the company has shared the exact list of smartphones that will be eligible for specific Android updates. GizChina reports that LG will provide Android 11 update to a total of 13 smartphones, which includes the LG Wing, the LG Velvet, the LG Velvet LTE, the LG V50S, the LG V50, the LG G8, the LG Q31, the LG Q51, the LG Q52, the LG Q61, the LG Q70, the LG Q92, and the LG Q9.

On the other hand, a total of nine smartphone models will receive the Android 12 update. The list includes the LG Wing, the LG Velvet, the LG Velvet LTE, the LG V50S, the LG V50, the LG G8, the LG Q31, the LG Q52 and LG Q92. The company also shared the smartphones that will get Android 13 update. This, however, is subject to Google’s policy. The list includes the LG Velvet, the LG Velvet LTE and the LG Wing.
