Realme makes a lot of high-end phones these days and is not shy to add another one. After a revamped Realme GT series, the company has hinted at launching another flagship that costs around INR 58000. No specific details regarding this smartphone has been revealed but the presence of a 125W fast charging is hinted. This along with a few other high-end models are planned for early 2022.
Realme executive Xu Qi revealed that the company is working on a proper flagship-grade phone for early 2022. This phone is expected to be an all-rounder, unlike the current Realme GT series devices. Realme has so far offered high-end phones that either focus on performance, or cameras. The Realme GT 888 and Realme GT Neo 2 are all focused on performance; the same stands for the outgoing Realme X7 series.
Given that Realme relies on the resources from Oppo and OnePlus, it would be no surprise if this Realme flagship feels familiar. The company had recently showcased its magnetic wireless charging tech in the Realme Flash concept phone, which was essentially a reskinned OnePlus 9 Pro. However, such kind of a Realme flagship may be in the works, just with Realme’s own design.
Currently, the Realme GT is the company’s flagship offering in India and global markets. The phone relies on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 platform and tags along a 120Hz AMOLED display, a 65W fast charging system, and a 64MP led triple rear camera system. The Realme GT Neo 2 was unveiled as a more watered down version of the same, starting at INR 31,999 and replaces the Snapdragon 888 with the more affordable Snapdragon 870 chip.
It also remains to be seen whether the company is able to bring the 125W fast charging system to India. Currently, all of its flagships are restricted to the 65W solution. With Xiaomi’s upcoming Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge expected to launch in India soon with its 120W charging system, the possibility of Realme bringing the same to India could increase.
