Apple started shipping its next-generation iPhone 12 Pro Max earlier this week. Now, less than a week since the shipping commenced, reports about issues with the phone’s multi-port charging technology have started surfacing on the internet.
GizChina quoting a report by a digital blogger who goes by the name Fertile on Weibo, some users are facing issues while using a multi-port adapter for charging their iPhone 12 Pro Max smartphones. The report says that if users plug and unplug other devices that are charging alongside the iPhone 12 Pro Max, the phone stops charging.
The blogger via his own tests confirmed that this issue does exist with the top variant of the newly launched iPhone 12 series. The blogger says that the issue persists as long as the power is being redistributed.
While there is no immediate fix, users can try charging their phones separately. In the meantime, charger manufacturers have stated that they are aware of the issue and that they are working on new chargers that will solve this issue completely.
Notably, this is not the first time that we are hearing about issues in the company’s iPhone 12 series. Some iPhone 12 Mini users have reported issues with the phone’s touchscreen, wherein it is partly unresponsive at the lock screen. Users also reported having issues with launching the phone’s camera and the flashlight.
