Apple iPhone 12 users facing yet another screen issue, here’s what is happening this time

Not everyone seems to be happy with their iPhone 12 models. After facing issues with unresponsive touch screen and issues, iMessage and multi-port charging bug, the new series is now having some ‘display issues’ that includes flickering and Green or Gray glow. This was revealed in an internal document obtained by MacRumors recently. In the document, Apple acknowledged an issue with some iPhone 12 displays with such problems. Apple did say that it is aware of the issues and is investigating on it.

For now, Apple has said technicians to avoid servicing affected iPhones and instead inform them that they should keep their iPhones up to date with the newest version. This also leads us to think that Apple might just solve this problem with an iOS update. This also means it is not a hardware problem.

In case you remember, a similar green tint display issue was noticed in iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max smartphones previously. And Apple solved it with iOS 13.6.1. However, this time, the problem deals with all the four models.

As per consumers who have talked about it on  MacRumors forums and Apple Support Communities, this shows up when the screen brightness is set to 90% or lower. Many of them are running iOS 14.1, iOS 14.2 and 14.3 Betas as well. Also, the flickering and glowing is not constant and disappears after a while.

That said, Apple iPhone 11 has become the highest-selling smartphone in the US for four months straight as per Counterpoint. Counterpoint’s senior analyst Hanish Bhatia said that the iPhone 11 has been on an “almost continuous promotion, often sold for $0 or $5 with eligible trade-ins within postpaid channels,”.
