Apple may launch iPhone 13 Mini despite sluggish 12 Mini sales, can skip ‘SE’ this year

Some more information on the upcoming iPhones, tipped as iPhone 13, has been dropped by tipster John Prosder in his latest video. According to Prosser, Apple is committed to launching the next generation of ‘mini’ iPhone this year, which is the iPhone 13 Mini. This comes despite Apple facing sluggish sales for its current iPhone 12 Mini model. It is worth mentioning that the company will reduce the production of its 12 Mini handset, probab;y because of its poor performance in the market. It was also for the first time in years that the firm introduced a small-sized compact iPhone to cater to a part of audience that was pretty much done with large-screen phones.

Prosser adds that the company will continue making iPhone 13 Mini even of it has to make even lesser number of units. Not much is known about the specifications though, but rest assured, it will have similar features as the iPhone 13 except for a smaller battery and screen size. It is the same strategy that Apple has used in this year’s iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini as well.

In the video, we see the tipster mentioning that there could be a chance that Apple might not launch the next-gen iPhone SE this year. That’s because it’s gap might be fulfilled by the iPhone 13 Mini. If only Apple plans to launch an ‘SE’ iPhone this year, it might be ‘SE Plus’.

iPhone 12 Mini comes in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB storage variants, priced at ₹69,900, ₹74,900 and ₹84,900 respectively. It has a 5.4-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with 2340x1080-pixel resolution, A14 Bionic processor, dual 12-megapixel rear cameras with wide and ultra-wide sensors, 12-megapixel front camera and support for MagSafe charger.
