We've written enough about how good the cameras on the new iPhone 12 series were. The lineup came with advanced camera systems, and thanks to the A14 Bionic — powerful computational photography features. And not just in the Pro variants, in the iPhone 12 mini and the iPhone 12 as well.
iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini come with a dual-camera system with an expansive Ultra Wide camera and a new Wide camera with an ƒ/1.6 aperture that provides 27% more light for improved photos and videos in low-light environments. Both models also feature computational photography features, which include Night mode and faster-performing Deep Fusion on all cameras. And then there is Smart HDR 3 that uses machine learning to intelligently adjust the white balance, contrast, texture, and saturation of a photo.
The pro camera system on iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max is even more versatile with Ultra Wide, Wide, and Telephoto cameras, and provides even more creative control to users. iPhone 12 Pro Max takes things further with a 65 mm focal length Telephoto camera for increased flexibility and 5x optical zoom range, as well as an advanced Wide camera boasting a 47% larger sensor with 1.7μm pixels. The Pro models also come with the LiDAR Scanner.
Now, photographers around the world have been using iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max to capture stunning images of cityscapes, landscapes, people, and more. And Apple has picked out 16 of them to showcase.
And out of the lot, one of the photos is shot by India's Rohit Vohra. Vohra has used the iPhone 12 Pro Max to shoot this photo of a boy and the play of light and shadows on his face.
You can check out the other photos picked by Apple here. It's a delightful collection of landscape and portrait photos.
