Google Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro could launch before the iPhone 13 series

Google has already revealed the looks of its next Pixel lineup. The company is all set to launch the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. While Google itself has revealed some of the specifications, it is yet to announce a launch date. However, the rumour mill is at it again as it has tipped the Pixel 6 launch date. According to the leak, the Google Pixel 6 series could be launched a day before the rumoured Apple iPhone 13 launch. The latter is rumoured to go official on September 14, and Google is now touted to launch the Pixel 6 on September 13.

The latest development comes from tipster Bald Panda (translated) on Weibo who has leaked a possible launch date for the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. The tipster says that the two Google phones could be launched on September 13, which is a day before the rumoured Apple event for the iPhone 13 launch. Google is yet to make any announcement about the launch date in an official capacity. Moreover, the pricing and availability details will be revealed whenever the launch happens. All we know for sure from Google is that the Pixel 6 lineup will be launched “this fall.”

Google Pixel 6 series may well do a first, as far as Google smartphones are concerned, and roll oiut 33W fast charging support. As per an earlier report, Google has been spotted using 33W charging bricks. For reference, till now, the Pixel only supported a maximum of 18W charging speed. Google is speculated to also showcase their own foldable phone at the Pixel 6 launch event.

Reports in the past have detailed a number of key features that are expected to be a part of the upcoming Pixel 6 series. The list includes the Pixel 6 Pro getting a triple rear camera setup, a 5,000mAh battery, 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage space. Separately, Google has confirmed that its upcoming Pixel 6 series will be backed by its in-house Tensor chipset. While both the phones have a horizontally stacked rear camera setup that is placed inside a bump that runs across the back, the top section (space above the rear camera setup) in case of the Pixel 6 Pro is slightly bigger than that of the Pixel 6 smartphone.
