Here’s a look at the upcoming Moto Razr foldable smartphone

A few days ago, Motorola teased the launch of its new smartphone. The launch event is supposed to happen on September 9. Although the firm has not mentioned anything on what will be revealed, the teaser design hints at the next-gen Moto Razr foldable phone. As Blass tweeted earlier this month, the device will be called as ‘Motorola Razr 5G’. However, now the tipster has revealed how the device will look like. His latest post on Twitter shows the handset in both opened and closed forms as a 360-degree gif.

In terms of looks, the new Moto Razr looks like the current generation model. So, we are assuming some major changes will be coming on the inside. It seems like the device will have the same hinge mechanism but this one might not be as stiff or creaky as complained by some users and reviewers for the current gen. In addition, the notch seems smaller, giving more screen space. In addition, the fingerprint sensor is nowhere to be seen. 

The specifics are not out but recently, industry insider Ross Young tweeted that the firm would increase the screen size for its next-gen Moto Razr smartphone. This will be from 6.2-inch to 6.7-inch, so it may match the Galaxy Z Flip foldable device. Camera too is seen with a slightly larger bump.

As per previous rumours, the new foldable phone from Motorola is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765 processor paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Moto Razr 5G is also said to pack a 2,845mAh battery. The camera department could receive a big upgrade with a 48-megapixel rear sensor, and a 20-megapixel front sensor. This will be Samsung’s 48-megapixel ISOCEL Bright GM1 sensor.
