Honor X10 Max with 7-inch screen and 48MP camera may launch soon in China, hints CEO

Honor fans might have something new to get excited about. The firm that has already introduced the Honor X10 5G in China, is now said to launch two more handsets in the same series with Honor 10X Max being the first in line. This is also likely to mark a return of the ‘Max’ series which was never updated by the firm ever since the Honor 8X Max.

Although the Honor 10X Max is not official yet, CEO George Zhao took it to Weibo (via Playful Droid) to reveal a mysterious new phone, which is said to be the ‘Max’ version. He even confirmed that a ‘large-screen’ product is incoming. In the same post Zhao added that it will be after two years that the company will be unveiling a large-screen device. It will also support 5G connectivity.

Based on previous rumours, the Honor X10 Max will feature a 7.09-inch screen and will run on MediaTek Dimensity 800 chipset. Also mentioned is the inclusion of a 48-megapixel sensor with 26mm lens and f.18 aperture. The cost is rumoured to be around CNY 1,600, which roughly means ₹17,200. Also, since it falls in the same X10 family, it may also feature a notch-less display with a pop-up selfie camera.

For those unaware, the X10 was launched in China back in May this year. Some key specs included are 6.63-inch FHD+ screen with 90Hz refresh rate, Kirin 820 octa-core processor, G57MC6 GPU, up to 128GB inbuilt storage, 40-megapixel primary camera with f1.8 aperture + -megapixel sensor with f/2.4 and a 2-megapixel sensor with f/2.4 aperture. At the front, there is a 16-megapixel f/2.2 pop-up camera with fixed 24mm focal length. It is backed by a 4300mAh battery.
